Job Description

Join our team as a Warehouse Worker! This is a general warehouse position where you will be responsible for picking and preparing tires for shipping, as well as putting away truckloads as they arrive. You will be involved in activities such as pulling tires off pallets, scanning for DOT information, and placing them on a conveyor belt for shipment. Over time, you will have the opportunity to operate a cherry picker and potentially learn to use a forklift. This role requires flexibility and willingness to be cross-trained in various areas of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare tires for shipping

• Receive and put away truckloads of tires

• Pull tires off pallets and scan for DOT information

• Place tires on conveyor belts for shipment

• Operate cherry pickers to move tires and pallets

• Work in different areas such as Customer Pick-up, Shipping, Mount and Balance, and shrink wrapping

• Perform physical tasks that may cause initial soreness, but your body will adjust after two weeks

Essential Skills

• Experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a warehouse

• At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse or similar roles like moving companies, furniture installation, or order picking

• Flexibility with working hours, including the ability to stay until the work is done

• Capability to lift 60 pounds at least three times per day

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with order pickers and RF scanners

Work Environment

The work environment is extremely clean, well-lit, and spacious, covering 139,000 square feet. You will work in areas such as Shipping, Customer Pick-up, Packaging, and Shrink Wrapping. The dress code is casual, including jeans, t-shirts or sweatshirts, and tennis shoes (no steel toes required). The hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an hour-long unpaid lunch break. Flexibility is required, as the start and end times may vary by 30 minutes or more. During the busiest season from October to January, you may work until 8:00 PM. You should be prepared to work 45 hours consistently, increasing to 50-60 hours per week during peak season.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
