The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides preschool programs. The District has approximately 1,100 employees.
The Westminster School District is recognized for high academic achievement and serves about 8,200 students, grades Preschool-8th. The district offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs including two dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, exploratory STEAM/Coding programs, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities. Modern library-media centers, integration of technology, and specialized instruction help provide a well-balanced and rigorous curriculum to support students to become innovative, critical thinkers who readily adapt to a rapidly changing 21st-century environment.

Requirements / Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, operate a school bus to transport students safely and efficiently to an assigned location using designated routes and according to specified time schedules.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above, such as a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months experience in operating a school bus. School bus certificate must be transit certified.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A valid California Motor Vehicle License of the Class A or B (including air brakes, school bus and passenger endorsement), and a valid California Special Driver's Certificate for School Bus (DL45); as well as a safe driving record. Possession of a current Red Cross First-Aid Certificate, or evidence of having passed the California Highway Patrol First-Aid examination. Possession of a valid Medical Certificate (MCSA 5876). Insurability by the District's liability insurance carrier. Employees in this classification are subject to random drug testing as prescribed by Federal law Copies of all licenses and requirements must be included with the completed application for employment.
