Overview of the Cost Analyst Role The Cost Analyst will be an essential part of the team, helping to drive financial accuracy and efficiency on multiple construction projects. As the Cost Analyst, you'll take on key responsibilities including:
Owner and Subcontractor Billing: The Cost Analyst will oversee accurate billing and ensure that owners and subcontractors are invoiced correctly.
Gross Margin Reports: The Cost Analyst monitors and reports gross margins, ensuring that projects meet financial targets.
Budget Management: The cost analyst will work closely with project managers to track and analyze budgets to support financial success.
Internal Budget Transfers: The Cost Analyst will manage budget transfers to align with project needs and facilitate smooth execution.
Full-Cycle Billing: The cost analyst manages all aspects of billing and ensures accurate and timely invoicing from start to finish.
Data Entry for Budgets: The Cost Analyst will enter data such as purchase orders and PCIs into the budgeting system, keeping records updated.
Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Analyst
2+ years of experience in construction accounting, ideally as a Cost Analyst.
Familiarity with CMIC software is a plus.
Experience with AIA billing and online billing is advantageous.
Background in the construction industry is preferred.
