Position Summary: The Office Clerk must be organized, well-spoken, and friendly. Successful candidates must have a sincere customer service-oriented demeanor to assist Drivers, Warehouse Employees, and Vendors.
What you’ll do:
- Answer incoming calls from customers or contacting customers for clarification of orders received
- Assist dispatch team to receive late purchase orders and create pallet tags labels if needed
- Ensure orders are modified and assign throughout shift to aid routing and shipping operations; monitoring work assignment window, add-ons, shorts, pack-outs, substitutions, open prices and double orders
- Responsible for communicating shorts to shift supervision so that internal searches can be exhausted;
- If shorts identified, coordinate by generating the short report and other reports (package and trip recap)
- Ensure that all final invoices/manifests match and have been verified and modified prior to preparing driver folders with turning on assign company phones as well; Assigning drivers to routes and truck numbers, Generate route sheet into Produce Pro system, dispatch drivers
- Verify paperwork received for any Inbound-DC transfer (Austin, Houston, THK etc );
- Assist dispatch team and order pullers if any issues arise with product at dispatching; re-assign, substitutions, short chases and assign critical care orders
- Communicate internally requests from Customer Service, Procurement, Sales, Dispatch during and prior to shift ending; special request, pick up slips (RMA), pricelist, signature only etc....
- Be familiar customer profiles and slot locations of products in warehouse;
- Restock any office supplies as needed;
- Must follow all GMP, HACCP and security rules relating to food safety standards;
- Must support night shift supervision in all aspects including any other duties assigned for operational success.
About you:
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED educational background;
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable are a must for the position;
- Professional, outgoing, personable, and a good conversationalist;
- Meet all accuracy standards and service observation;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential;
- Possess proficient computer skills to navigate and multitask in multiple operations;
- Able to work night shift hours Sunday-Friday (5:00 pm until all work complete as assigned)
Preferred
- Food service and/or retail produce knowledge
- Bilingual communicator both in English and Spanish
