Encon Heating & AC is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Stratford

Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position involves performing a variety of general warehouse duties, including receiving, staging, and material handling. The role also includes loading and unloading tasks, making deliveries and pick-ups while maintaining high customer service. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multiple production teams, and performing some duties outside in all weather conditions.

Salary: $20-$25/hr. depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safety: Maintain a safe working environment.
• Teamwork: Work closely with multiple production teams to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
• Communication: Effectively communicate during each stage of the process, by tracking, tracing, and updating the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Receiving: Efficiently handle and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Staging and Material Handling: Accurately stage materials and handle them safely, preparing items for delivery or storage.
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, ensuring items are handled with care and properly accounted for.
• Deliveries and Pick-Ups: Conduct scheduled deliveries and pick-ups, prioritizing customer service and timely execution.
• Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including stock counts and inventory tracking.
• General Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
• Special Projects: Participate in various special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience

• Must have years experience working in a warehouse completing the above job responsibilities.
• High school diploma/GED
• Must be able to bend, stand all day and lift heavy boxes
• Well-organized, able to multitask but also attention to detail
• Ability to think quickly and resolve issues
• Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Computer skills such as Outlook, excel, word.
• Superior organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• HVAC knowledge is a plus

Eligibility Requirements

• This position requires a valid driver’s license.
• Employment/education will be verified.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach and operate heavy machinery.
• Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights.
• Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
