Job Description
Job Duties:
- To maintain the grounds of agency property and parking lots, i.e. cleaning walks, dumpster/trash areas, and general picking up of agency property.
- To repair building walls including spackling and painting, etc.
- To clean baseboards and other areas not cleaned on a daily or generally routine basis.
- To clean out drainage areas as needed.
- Clean and maintain agency property such as tables, table pedestals, chairs, chair legs, etc.
- Wash building windows.
- Routinely check and change light fixtures as necessary.
- Routinely check buildings and grounds for necessary maintenance. Complete general maintenance tasks and inform the building manager/office manager of necessary work needing to be completed.
- Act as a backup driver of agency vans/trucks when necessary.
- Assist with storing supplies, etc.
- Courteously interacts with guests, visitors, clients, co-workers, etc., with sensitive and courteous behavior, which promotes human respect and dignity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school / General education degree.
- Must be able to work 15 hours per week on Tues/Thurs/Sat from 8 am to 1 pm.
- Ability to accept instructions, apply them logically and responsibly, and make productive use of unsupervised time.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license and good driving record.
