Position Summary: The Senior Director of Business Applications is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s business application systems. This position involves directing a team of professionals in delivering innovative software solutions that align with the company’s business objectives, enhance operational efficiency, and drive digital transformation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for business applications that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Provide leadership and guidance in the selection, implementation, and management of enterprise software systems (e.g., Salesforce CRM, ERP, HRIS, etc.).
Team Management and Hiring:
Lead and mentor a team of professionals, including application developers, analysts, and project managers. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation. Oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition, and professional development to build a strong and capable team.
Technical Program Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex business application projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Implement best practices for project management, including risk management, resource allocation, and quality assurance with automation to boost operational efficiency. Ensure alignment between business application projects and the overall company roadmap.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of all business application systems. Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for software development, implementation, and support. Manage relationships with software vendors, consultants, and other external partners to optimize service delivery and contract performance.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
Develop and manage the budget for the business applications department, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals. Monitor and control costs associated with software acquisition, development, and maintenance.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in leadership roles, specializing in business applications and enterprise systems. Extensive knowledge of various Go-To-Market applications, including Salesforce, Marketo, billing systems, NetSuite, and Snowflake. Strong understanding of Quote to cash process, ability to propose long term scalable solutions. Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to accountability. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, complemented by strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
