Square
Payment Partnerships & Product Enablement Manager
Square, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same. The Role
Payments drives awareness of the Square brand, Square’s first touch-point with most of our sellers, and fuels the economics of the broader Square ecosystem. Industry Relations & Operations (IRO) manages all the partnerships in the payments supply chain for our global footprint. Within IRO, the Payment Partnerships and Product Enablement team leads the commercial strategies and negotiations with the global and US card networks and emerging / alternative payment providers, paves the way for innovation at Square by enabling payment certifications of all acceptance terminals and payment connections, and partners with the various Block teams to enable Square's payments and banking products. As Payment Partnerships & Product Enablement Manager, you will help adapt and evolve our relationships with payment methods (card networks and alternative payments) to reflect Square's increasing role in a complex and imbalanced industry. From commercial relationships and account management, operations and program management, working alongside product, operations, risk, compliance, engineering and international market teams, your role will be to support Square's Industry Relations and Operations agenda and help Square grow and adapt in the dynamic landscape of the industry in which we operate. You will report to the Head of Payment Partnerships & Product Enablement. You Will

Strengthen the influence and market position of Square’s business and brand while fostering and growing joint marketing and promotion opportunities with critical industry stakeholders. Expand Square’s partner and product footprint globally, accelerating the distribution of both new and existing Square offerings, including new acceptance methods and devices. Understand Square's competitive position via in-depth competitor and partner research, and implement programs to further payments products, services and strategic objectives. Collaborate across many teams including engineering, product, finance, data science, legal, compliance, and risk to guide, support, and influence the selection and onboarding of best-in-class partners. You Have
