Director of Business Development - Temporary Housing

We are working with an international client who is looking for an experienced and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead the growth initiatives for their temporary housing division.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, strategic partnerships, and sales leadership within the hospitality, real estate, or corporate housing industries. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and expanding their client base, which includes corporate clients, relocation agencies, government contracts, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy focused on increasing market share and revenue for the temporary housing division. Identify and target new markets, business segments, and high-potential clients. Lead efforts in competitive analysis, market trends, and sales forecasting to inform growth strategies.
Partnership Development:
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with corporate clients, relocation agencies, travel management companies, and other strategic partners. Negotiate and structure partnership agreements that drive mutual value and growth for both parties. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and acquire new business.
Client Relations & Contract Negotiation:
Serve as the primary contact for high-profile clients, ensuring their needs are met through tailored temporary housing solutions. Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable to the company while maintaining strong client relationships. Develop creative solutions to meet clients' needs in terms of price, quality, and flexibility.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Monitor key business metrics such as lead generation, pipeline progression, conversion rates, and overall revenue. Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team, detailing growth opportunities, successes, and areas for improvement. Use data and insights to adjust business development strategies and tactics to optimize results.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field (MBA preferred). 4+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and closing high-value deals, preferably within the temporary housing, hospitality, or corporate housing industries. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and manage complex projects and partnerships. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
