Our client, a general contractor located in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a seasoned Project Director to oversee projects across multiple sectors, including educational, healthcare, industrial, retail, government, office, and interior tenant finish. About 3-4 years ago, they embarked on an aggressive growth strategy, reorganizing their entire team outside of the owner and rebuilding from the ground up. In 2021 and 2022, their focus shifted toward preparing for this growth, investing in new technology, and establishing refined processes and procedures. Their efforts have paid off, as 2024 marked their most successful year to date, with annual revenue doubling from $15 million to $30 million. Looking ahead, they have an ambitious five-year plan to double their volume and revenue each year. This position offers a unique pathway to a Director role for a dedicated professional eager to contribute to this exciting phase of growth and innovation within a four-to-five county range in the St. Louis area.
Responsibilities:
Manage construction projects Assure all projects are built to drawings and specification Assure all materials orders are executed Maintain schedule and meet deadlines Work alongside and communicate with subcontractors to move projects forward Maintain and organize field documents (Drawings, specifications, etc.) Participate in company training sessions Assure site superintendents maintain clean and safe sites Qualifications:
5+ years of construction project management experience Ability to work autonomously from day 1 Experience with cost analysis and project financials Experience running projects $8M+ in value Experience with Procore Internally driven Entrepreneurial spirit and problem solver Strong written and verbal communication skills Compensation:
