Duties: Work with a team of Developers and Architects on the architecture, design and technical implementation of the Duck Creek Policy and Insights Platform utilizing knowledge of insurance industry practices, methodologies and rules. Develop Duck Creek reference architecture patterns following best practices and own the Policy portion of the 5-year technology roadmap. Use Duck Creek system technologies including Author, Express, Utility Center, Product Studio, Extract Mapper and UserAdmin. Act as Subject Matter Expert for Duck Creek policy and products to assist architects and product owners in improving product design and limitations as well as billing subsystems, supervising end-to-end cross-functional system design and designing solutions supporting product features. Execute Proofs of Concepts to test architectural elements of projects. Ensure alignment of application components with the architecture to meet performance goals. Use Trace Monitoring tool, SQL Server, Azure DevOps and Visual Studio (IDE), Visio and Office 365 Suite. Use Duck Creek software to design and develop application prototypes. Conduct complete analysis of the system and ensure that system designs meet technical and business specifications. Participate in cross-functional teams as an expert in Duck Creek to resolve issues and facilitate communications between disparate teams. Conduct code reviews and give guidance to correct defects and performance problems. Configure Duck Creek Policy Admin system by creating and modifying manuscripts, XMLs, and batch scripts to support Property and Casualty implementation. Execute XSLT's, perform SQL Database Queries and procedures to query, update and transform data. Collaborate with team/business architects to ensure systems are designed to meet business/technical specifications. Ensure software development and customization meet business process design standards and application requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience as a Software Developer, Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Development Lead or closely related position. Candidate's prior experience must include: Applied knowledge in Insurance Policy Administration System configuration and five (5) years using Duck Creek System Technologies (Author, Express, Utility Center, Product Studio, UseAdmin), Insights Platform, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio (IDE), Trace Monitoring Tool, and SQL Server. May telecommute but must have ability to report to Princeton, NJ office 2 times per week.
