Our challenge We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong technical background to join our team. An experienced Python Developer with strong communication skills. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $115k - $125k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities : Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code using strong command of Python syntax, data structures (lists, sets, dictionaries, tuples), and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Implement algorithms for problem-solving, optimizing code, and improving application performance. Utilize Python's exception handling mechanisms (try, except, finally) to ensure robust and error-free code execution. Develop web applications using Python-based frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Leverage Python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, SciPy, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow for data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning tasks. Apply common design patterns (e.g., singleton, factory, observer, decorator) in Python to solve architectural problems in software development. Use Django ORM or SQL Alchemy for mapping Python classes to database tables and writing database queries in Pythonic syntax. Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration and data exchange between applications. Set up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI, or Circle CI for automated testing, building, and deployment of code. Deploy Python applications to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure. Requirements: You are: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 8 years of experience as a Python Developer or in a similar role. Strong understanding of Python syntax, data structures, and OOP principles. Experience with Python web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Circle CI. Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. It would be great if you also had: Experience with machine learning libraries such as SciPy, Scikit-learn, or TensorFlow. Knowledge of database systems and experience with ORM frameworks like Django ORM or SQL Alchemy. Familiarity with Git version control and agile development methodologies. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
