As a member of Cloud Solutions & Platform Engineering at Slalom here in New York, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for crafting and delivering creative cloud solutions for our clients. Your duties will include designing, building, and automating cost-effective, resilient, and secure cloud-based applications, as well as migration & modernization of existing workloads to public clouds. What You'll Do Business Development Domain: • Support in the growth of our Cloud Solutions/Platform Engineering practice & capabilities through a combination of organic business development, delivery, oversight of project work, and thought leadership • Manage project risk, economics, including planning and budgeting, managing accounts receivable, define project/engagement deliverables, and ensure buy-in of proposed solutions • Work with teams to capture best practices and develop case studies and other core deliverables to build solution offerings for our clients • Collaborate with other practice areas to develop collateral, including go-to-market offerings, marketing materials, and thought leadership based on key trends and use cases • Lead and manage complex cloud transformation projects for clients across various industries and domains Delivery Domain: • Lead a team of Cloud & Platform engineering consultants towards high quality and high value delivery • Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise on cloud architecture, design, development, deployment, and operation • Identify and assess client needs, challenges, and opportunities, and propose innovative and cost-effective cloud solutions • Mentor and coach junior cloud consultants and engineers, and foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture • Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in the cloud domain, and share knowledge and insights with internal and external audiences • Support business development activities, such as proposal writing, presentation delivery, and contract negotiation including working with partner • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, business owners, and technical teams What You'll Bring • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • At least 10 years of experience in IT consulting, with at least 5 years of experience in cloud consulting • Experience architecting and delivering cloud-based solutions in various industries • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with various cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud • Proficient in cloud-native technologies, such as containers, microservices, serverless, DevSecOps, CI/CD, etc. • Proficient in infrastructure & operations, such as Active Directory, networking, storage management, performance tuning, capacity planning, IT budgeting • Proficient in security & compliance frameworks such as NIST and compliance/policy as code • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop a team • Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver high quality solutions across multi-disciplinary teams • Certifications in one or more cloud platforms or technologies are preferred Proven history of leveraging and growing existing client base [organic business development] P&L experience from a comparably sized company Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally & collaborate within teams Demonstrated ability to work with a partner ecosystem About Us Slalom is a next-generation professional services company creating value at the intersection of business, technology, and humanity. This role base salary bands for this role are as follows: $160,000-247,500
