Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in developing budgets, conducting forecasting activities, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights to support our organization's financial decision-making process. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the creation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts in the SAAS industry or complex high-growth environments, an accounting/finance education, and a proven track record with multi-national companies, and experience with NetSuite or other similar ERP platforms.
Role Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, and budgets, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Analyze operational data and develop metrices to capture trends, identify variables and reflect in financial forecast
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Collaborate with various departments to develop accurate and realistic bottom-up and top-down department-level and company-wide budgets for operational expenses, capital expenditures, and revenue projections
- Monitor budget performance, identify deviations, and provide recommendations for cost optimization
- Prepare regular forecasts based on market trends, historical data, and business projections to support effective resource allocation
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies to achieve organizational goals
- Conduct research and analysis to support business initiatives, product line assessments, and expansion opportunities
- Evaluate the financial impact of potential investments, acquisitions, and partnerships
- Utilize NetSuite to extract, manipulate, and analyze financial data efficiently
- Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting systems within NetSuite
- Develop, through company sponsored trainings, to be a super user and help team to use NetSuite more efficiently
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional accounting/finance designation (CPA/CFA) valued
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Financial Analyst, preferably in the SAAS industry or a complex high-growth environment
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and budgeting processes
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis concepts (ASPE, IFRS, US GAAP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience working with NetSuite or other similar ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
- Ability and drive to take initiative, work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines as a core part of our global team
