Position Overview:

The EDI Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless exchange of electronic data between Marketlab and its trading partners. This position is responsible for developing, programming, monitoring, and maintaining the EDI systems and processes. As Marketlab embarks on an ERP implementation project, the EDI Analyst will be instrumental in integrating and testing systems to ensure a smooth transition. This role will also lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance automation and modernize communications with vendors and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the EDI platforms
  • Management of the Customer/Supplier onboarding process
  • Develop and maintain EDI maps, including translation rules, processes, and workflows.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, resolving issues to ensure accurate data transmission.
  • Manage relationships with EDI platform providers, trading partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with EDI protocols (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, SFTP, VAN).
  • Support ERP implementation by integrating existing systems and trading partners.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to automate EDI processes and modernize communication.
  • Maintain AS2 systems and ensure secure, reliable data exchange.
  • Provide technical support for EDI and ERP systems, including training internal users.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop technical solutions for business needs.
  • Create and maintain technical and user-level documentation.
  • Conduct regular data audits to ensure compliance with governance policies and data accuracy.
  • Assist with the creation and management of Bartender labels, primarily;
  • Using Bartender Designer to connect to SQL databases or API endpoints to gather dynamic data
  • Testing printing in Bartender Print Station
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of EDI experience, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, SFTP, and related protocols.
  • 5+ years administering EDI platforms including GHX, SPS Commerce, Cleo, Bots, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of ERP and warehouse management systems, with experience in distribution and manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with database technologies (Transact-SQL)
  • Experience with scripting technologies(Python, Bash, etc).
  • Experience with managing projects, and a working knowledge of project management tools and approaches
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex EDI issues and ensure system reliability.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.

Remote Work Considerations:

This role may offer remote work opportunities. A stable internet connection is required, as well as the ability to participate in video meetings and on-site visits to Grand Rapids, MI.
