Title: Software Engineer III Pay: $70.00-$75.00 W2 Hours: Monday-Friday; 8AM-5PM Location: San Diego, CA 92128 Overview Join the Ambulatory Monitoring and Diagnostics Heart, R&D organization as a Software Engineer III . As a key member of the ECG Software Solutions group, you'll collaborate within cross-functional Scrum teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative full-stack solutions with a focus on regulated medical device software. Job Description Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and Angular. API Development: Build secure APIs using GraphQL and integrate RabbitMQ for asynchronous messaging systems. Microservices Architecture: Implement backend microservices with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability. AWS Deployment: Lead application deployment on AWS, leveraging services like EKS, RDS, and other managed solutions. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features and applications. Code Quality: Ensure high-quality deliverables through unit testing, code review, and continuous integration practices. Documentation: Develop software documentation to comply with regulated industry standards (e.g., IEC 62304). Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies, software trends, and best practices. Required Skills Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript , with expertise in Angular for UI development. Proven experience in microservice architectures and distributed systems. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly WS , including Kubernetes (EKS). Experience with GraphQL and RabbitMQ . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code. Effective problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Education Requirements Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus). Equivalent experience is also considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience with regulated environments and software as a medical device development (e.g., IEC 62304). Familiarity with healthcare data integration and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Relevant certifications, such as WS Certified Database - Specialty .
