Job Description

We are seeking a full time Security Captain to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as provide assistance to hotel associates, guests and visitors. This is a full time, hourly position. Responsibilities:
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Assist with hotel associate, guest and visitor requests
- Communicate pertinent information to designated departments
- Assist with packages - receipt and organization
- Observe and report (must be able to use MS Office programs - Word and Outlook)
- Diplomatically warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Work with local law enforcement to expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking pipes
- Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields
- Familiarity with security equipment
- Ability to handle the physical workload (lifting up to 50lbs and frequent foot patrol)
- Strong attention to detail
- A current CA Guard Card or the ability to obtain this certification
The hourly wage for this position is $22.60 per hour. This is the hourly rate for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
