Job Summary: The Manual / CNC Operator is expected to be able to read a blueprint, understand tooling, fixturing, speed, and feed requirements. Will be expected to be able to run a variety of Manual / CNC machines including lathes and mills. Will be expected to perform his job with minimal oversight required and to produce parts within tolerances specified on drawings within the time allotted for the job

Pay Rate: $25-$30, depending on experience
Location: West Valley
Shift: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Friday Full-Time. Can be flexible with shift once trained. Overtime possible

Responsibilities: Applicants could be required to do any of the following:
- Performs all Machine Operator functions
- Setup and supervise machine operators
- Performs frequent CNC, mill and lathe setup, operations to produce quality parts based on provided specifications
- Performs setup/operations on specialty machines
- Work with customer and make recommendations
- Performs preventive maintenance such as inspecting, replacing fluid levels, inspecting/replacing filters and belts, and performing visual inspection.
- Solves tooling issues by identifying productivity of tooling, evaluating tooling performance, and evaluating new tooling requirements
- Performs routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure, specification or print using basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, scale, and indicators)
- Maintains safety practices related to machining; (wear protective clothing, eye glasses, as required
- Must be able to read, interpret and analyze prints and drawings
- Mathematics skills is a plus
- Ability to read and write and communicate well
- Ability to anticipate problems and look for solutions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Participates in set up reduction/process improvement teams to increase process efficiencies.
- Strong ethics and ability to keep information confidential
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related experience
- Proven excellent skills with computers and file systems;
- Enjoys fast pace and rapidly changing environment;
- Ability to work on several projects at once, requiring strong time management skills;
- Handles stress in a professional manner, demonstrates the ability to get along with others, flexible and willing to help others as needed
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a command of English grammar and punctuation
