Job Title: Machine Operator

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: Swing Shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034

Hourly Range: $20 - $22/hr 

Under close direction of experienced operators or a Production Team Leader, operates the SMT placement equipment and/or other equipment in order to perform the tasks necessary to manufacture PCBs and/or systems.

Role and Responsibilities:

• · Reads and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacture of PCBs and/or systems
• · Responds to written and verbal instructions
• · Obtains certifications on assigned equipment
• · Maintains a clean work environment and follow all company policies and practices regarding safety and material handling
• · Use cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions, and vendor; Recognize all part markings including speed and values (ohms)
• · Assists with line changeover
• · Identifies feeder by size and type in SMT equipment
• · Demonstrates the use of cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions and vendor
• · Removes hazardous waste at the end of each shift and put in waste storage area, check to see that labels are present and closes containers when not in use
• · Continuously maintains a clean machine
• · May be involved with hazardous waste handling duties

Skills and Experience:

• · High school diploma or equivalent
• · SMT Machine operating experience
• · Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
• · Strong customer service and client focus
• · Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software
