Submit your resume today Responsibilities Implementation and maintenance of enterprise SAN hardware (EMC VNX, Dell Compellent, etc.), fiber channel switches (Brocade, Dell/EMC), host bus adapters (HBA) and software systems (Unisphere, Dell Storage Manager, CMCNE, WebTools, SANnav) Support virtualization team infrastructure maintenance, storage vMotion, datastores and tiering. Assist with enterprise backup team strategies, systems (Veritas NetBackup), and tape library units. Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing storage systems. Evaluate storage performance issues and storage requests for multiple local and remote data centers. Pro-actively monitor storage service environments; Establish, recommend system/service policies. Responsible for shared 24x7 coverage of the storage and/or virtual infrastructure support Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide storage related infrastructure both production and disaster recovery Provide a periodic report of system status to include uptime, incident and problems, open issues. Respond to system faults, analyzing and correcting applications or errors to reestablish service. Provide in depth systems analysis, system administration, security, compliance and maintenance of SAN equipment. Assist to plan and perform strategic patching, system, upgrades, software/firmware updates, and hardware diagnosis/repairs to SAN controllers, disk array enclosures (DAE), storage processors, controller processor blades, fabric configuration, fiber cables, fiber channel operating system, small form-factor pluggable (SFP), Block OE code and other elements. Able to audit, remediate, and maintain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist documentation on supported systems utilizing technical procedures, best practices, hardening guidance, vendor manuals, user guides and runbooks. Support provisional installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of servers (Dell PowerEdge, HPe ProLiant, etc.), systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure devices such as KVMs, out-of-band management (OOBM) tools like serial/virtual consoles, integrated lights-out (ILO), iLO Amplifier, integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) or Open Managed Enterprise (OME) appliances. Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to existing/new technologies determined to be relevant in meeting both the strategic and tactical plans. Develop and/or implement technical solutions based on defined mission scope and using approved software tools such as PuTTY, SecureCRT, Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), NotePad, etc. Perform root cause analysis, recommend, and implement tactical and strategic solutions to problems. Support day-to-day technical communication systems, alerts and incident tickets in support of operations; Open/track change requests and interact with external customers or vendor. Candidate will oversee activities to include planning, researching, deploying, monitoring, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting Splunk components spanning a large and complex environment. Manage or assist the processes related to onboarding users/projects, configuration audits, building data models, summary data reports, basic Search Processing Language (SPL), advanced search analytics. Communicate, manage expectations, eliminate gaps and successfully interact with multiple external and internal 26th NOS team leads, administrators, analysts, users, customers, system owners and management. Guide customers in the use of strategic products through education and guidance, first-use and tuning assistance problem solving and critical situation resolution. Qualifications Qualifications/Requirements: Must have a minimum of 5 years of SAN product experience. Experience with one or many operating systems: Windows/UNIX/Linux/VMware based products. Solid knowledge of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, SSH, LDAPS, SCP) Exposure to physical servers and/or virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere's vCenter Server Appliance, ESXi hosts, virtual machines (VMs), SAN datastores, host bus adapters (HBA) fiber connectivity, and/or VM/Host distributed resource schedules (DRS) groups/rules. Experience with networking, desktops / laptops, middleware, client/server software, Office products, server operating systems, virtualization, managing data, applications, websites, or database supporting a multi-site, multi-domain Windows forest. Interact well with all levels of management across multiple teams consisting of Government civilians, contractors, and military personnel. Self-motivated self-starter, able to work autonomously and as part of a team, sharing knowledge to help others in a fast-paced cyber environment. Thrive in fast-paced multi-task environment. Ability to analyze, propose and implement workflow and process improvements. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to follow policies and procedures. Experience maintaining, overseeing and troubleshooting computers and related peripheral equipment performing preventative maintenance in accordance with department policies. Ability to lift, rack and provision government furnished equipment (GFE) Must possess the ability to supervise a team administratively and technically. Education/Certification(s): Technical degree, Associates, or bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems, Science/Engineering/Math, or 2-4 years' relevant experience in Information Technology preferably within system or application administration is acceptable. Knowledge or experience with the following is a plus: Hyperconvergence software-centric hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI); blade servers; Nutanix AHV; Nutanix Prism; Hyper-V. Knowledge or experience in any of following is a plus: HTML5, PowerShell, Java, VMware PowerCLI, OVF Tool, or VIBs There are two required certifications for this position, that must be held prior to starting on the contract.
