Job Description Job Description Company Overview: We are an innovative startup developing a large fixed-wing UAV and a fleet of small quadcopters. Our mission is to revolutionize aerial technology through advanced UAV systems integrated with cutting-edge simulation and robotics software. Position Overview: We are seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer with expertise in PX4 flight control systems. The ideal candidate will customize and optimize the PX4 firmware for our UAV platforms, integrate hardware components, and ensure reliable operation of embedded systems under various conditions. Key Responsibilities: Flight Control Development: Customize and optimize PX4 flight control firmware for specific UAV configurations. Develop and implement new flight modes and control algorithms as required. Hardware Integration: Integrate sensors, actuators, communication modules, and other hardware components with the flight control system. Ensure seamless hardware-software integration and functionality. System Testing and Validation: Perform bench testing, software-in-the-loop (SITL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing of flight control systems. Debug and resolve issues related to embedded software and hardware interactions. Documentation and Compliance: Document system designs, configurations, and testing procedures. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards relevant to UAV systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 3 years of experience with embedded systems development, particularly in UAV applications. Strong proficiency with PX4 flight control software and firmware development. Experience with C/C++ programming for embedded systems. Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN bus. Knowledge of sensors and actuators commonly used in UAVs. Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
