It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and potential for overseas tax incentives. Essential Functions Support the Reagan Test Site (RTS) Cyber Operations team as Cyber Assurance Analyst on Kwajalein Atoll. Perform cyber assurance analyst tasks in support of the RTS Government ISSM, Cyber Assurance staff and other senior management in areas of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD, Army Regulations and related Cyber Assurance disciplines. Communicate and work effectively within cross-functional teams to address a variety of information security, integrity, and availability concerns. Actively Participate in Change Management Review Board Processes. Determine Overall Risk Levels and Provide Recommendations for Improvements to System Security for Technology Improvement Efforts Evaluate Change Request Plans as a Contributing Member of the Technology Review Board Perform continuous monitoring and analysis of security events using Splunk, IBM QRadar, and other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) sources. Conduct vulnerability assessments and scans using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). Manage and configure Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator policies and tasks to support the effective use of endpoint security, host-based firewall, Data-loss prevention and associated modules. Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and policies to support the ATO approval process. Assist Cyber Compliance team with evaluating technical controls and findings. Evaluate and implement Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Checklist requirements and Security Requirements Guides (SRG). Collaborate with IT and other departments to address security vulnerabilities and enhance the organizations security posture. Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices. Other related duties as assigned. Required Skills Proficient technical writing skills: demonstrated ability to produce policies, procedures, reports, and RMF artifacts. Experience with Information Technology components; operating systems/servers, computer networking, switches, router racks, firewalls, VPNs, and DoD PKI systems. Experience with configuring and utilizing Nessus, ACAS, Trellix, Splunk, HBSS, and/or similar security tools. Troubleshooting skills for supporting complex hardware and network infrastructures with high-reliability requirements. Familiarity with network-based vulnerability scanning and Army Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program processes. Ability to validate appropriate implementation of security controls in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and DoD publications. Knowledgeable in the use of eMASS and able to support eMASS tasking. Demonstrated ability to effectively validate and verify system compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), generate and update STIG Checklists, and assess systems against Security Requirements Guides (SRG). Working knowledge of Army Regulation 25-1 and 2 and related Cyber Assurance regulations and policies. Required Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) years or more experience in Information Security/Assurance or related field with a focus on similar responsibilities to those listed in the Essential Functions section above. DoD 8570 Security certification required. Experience communicating security concerns and issues to non-technical audiences. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires U.S. citizenship. Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport. This position is unaccompanied. The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
