Visit our website to learn more about each program at www.bjmgroup.com/internship Seed Internship (Winter/Spring) - This 12 week paid Tax Season Accounting Internship program is ideal for college undergrads with a passion for finance and accounting. The internship will occur during the tax seasons of January - April or August - October. Candidates in this program will gain exposure through various training, networking and coaching opportunities. You will shadow our Administrators to learn the front-line operations of a successful accounting firm. Requirements Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and scanning of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed. Support the auditing process by gathering and organizing financial documents, conducting analytical procedures, and preparing audit workpapers. Assist with administrative bookkeeping tasks, such as recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate records. Performs Data entry to facilitate the completion of client books and tax returns. Conduct research on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to support project requirements. Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and quality standards. Utilize accounting software and tools to input data, generate reports, and perform calculations. Provide administrative support as needed, including filing documents, answering phones, and assisting with client inquiries. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance accounting knowledge and skills. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as ethical standards governing the accounting profession. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong academic record with coursework in accounting, auditing, taxation, and finance. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software programs (e.g., QuickBooks). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability to change. Prior accounting or finance-related experience is preferred but not required. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality. Availability to work part-time or full-time hours during the internship period.
