Description: The Software Application Test Engineer as a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT) will participate in software design and peer reviews. They will also develop test specifications, infrastructure, and execute manual and automated test analysis of C2BMC implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure. Support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing). Responsibilities will also include the coordination of lab resources, test results, and verification status with the C2BMC program and customers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or has significant professional experience. A Master's degree is highly desired; 3 plus years of experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in various test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development; Active Secret Clearance, and must be a US Citizen; Requires a strong, self-starting individual capable of diving into problems with assistance from other test engineers and software developers; Experience with an Agile development process; Automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment requirement and verification analysis; Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data, and development of action plans based upon analysis of data; Documenting software deficiency reports and presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format from the reports (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document); The candidate must possess strong verbal/written communication skill; Must be able to work effectively in a small technical team environment and to accurately represent test perspectives to C2BMC systems engineers and architects, software designers, other testers, and test support personnel, the Government customer, and personnel in other MDA programs; Desired Qualifications: Experience in a DevSecOps environment is extremely desirable, and Security certification is extremely desirable; Experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in various test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development; This position will require a strong, self-starting individual capable of diving into problems with assistance from other test engineers and software developers; Experience with using DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution, planning and execution of test data collection, and test data analysis and reporting; Analysis experience should involve characterizing system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods, reporting the characterization to subsequent users, and contributing to performance assessment by program system engineers.
