Primary Purpose :

ARUP’s returnship program aims to help skilled professionals with an employment gap of at least one year re-enter the workforce. These are short-term opportunities that support professional growth by providing access to industry experience, networking connections, and mentorship.

The Business Development Division seeks to create and expand ARUP's economic enterprise. Their efforts include:

Market research and assessment

Product, concept, and brand development

Sales

Proposal Writing

Pricing-model creation

Advertising and public relations

Outreach

The Marketing team is seeking a part time employee that has experience in graphic design. This position uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, presentations, and packaging through a variety of media outlets, as assigned.

Essential Functions :

Design and maintain technical documents, such as specimen collection instructions and patient history forms

Update technical brochures across a broad range of laboratory medicine topics, with an emphasis on testing specialties and specific tests

Create logos and other branded content for novel tests and other new products that support the practice of laboratory medicine

Design and create signage and forms

Design documents and materials to support specific marketing campaigns and initiatives

Shadow the supervisor.

Perform daily assigned tasks.

Perform tasks in support of specific projects.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Other Requirements :

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.

Bachelor's Degree or better

Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College or University

At least 1 year gap in employment or current active-duty military

Preferred

Previous experience in applicable field

Experience with Microsoft Office
