Pricing Specialist
in
Alexandria, VA.
This person will be part of the Business Development team and will assist in preparing cost proposals for facilities management and facilities operations and maintenance bids. This position involves analyzing, estimating, pricing, developing subcontracting requirements, soliciting bids, reviewing bid results, and recommending subcontractors for inclusion in RFP response. The candidate would analyze and verify SOW information, track project progress, and adhere to project pricing deadlines. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to accomplish and complete the assigned tasks and projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews Performance Work Statement/Scope of Work (PWS/SOW) from clients, customers, and local contract sites to verify accuracy, developing questions as needed. Work with technical and management subject matter experts to prepare estimates and pricing data in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) government Requests for Proposals (RFPs) Develop workload estimates, basis of estimates, pricing models, pricing data Extracts Equipment Level detail from Solicitation to generate a Bottoms Up Labor Estimate Collaborate with the Operations Teams and SME’s to develop subcontracting requirements, test and validate estimates Creates and solicits the PWS/SOW to Third-Party Subcontractors, tracks progress, records pricing data, and submits to contract sites or Business Development (BD). Develop and maintain working relationships with local and national vendors. Collaborate with Strategic Suppliers to develop Quotes for Facility Solutions Prepare & Analyze Benchmarking Data to assist with the Labor / Material build up for Preventative Maintenance Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Business desired with 3+ years of experience providing facilities maintenance pricing and cost estimating services. In lieu of a degree, 5 to 10 years of experience providing facilities maintenance and repair pricing and cost estimating services. 2-4 years of strategic sourcing experience for services or indirect categories (e.g. facility services, highly desired) Ability to analyze information; familiar with cost accounting and strong financial skills. Must have strong Excel knowledge, excellent written/verbal communication skills, and attention to detail. Must be capable, confident, and able to work under tight deadlines, while maintaining composure. Estimating experience and background in a facilities operations and maintenance or mechanical/electrical service industry is a plus Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of facilities maintenance, repair, and/or construction is a plus. Preferred location Alexandria, VA , but flexible if near an EMCOR Operating Company. Must be able to travel up to 10%
