Job Title: Scrum Master and Kaizen Specialist 
Reports to: Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary:

A large Manufacturing Company is looking for a Scrum Master Specialist . This role will include facilitating team collaboration and fostering a culture of continuous improvement by integrating the Agile framework and Lean principles. The individual will lead teams in optimizing processes, reduce waste, and improve quality – as well as coach the team on adopting the agile principles. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Scrum practices (daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives).

  • Remove impediments and resolve team conflicts to ensure smooth sprint execution.

  • Track and manage key Scrum metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.) to monitor progress.

  • Foster a self-organizing, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.

  • Protect teams from external disruptions, ensuring a focus on sprint goals.

  • Lead Kaizen events and workshops to identify areas for improvement and drive process efficiency.

  • Implement Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and optimize workflows.

  • Train and mentor individual shop departments in Kaizen and Lean principles so they’re self-sufficient.

  • Develop and maintain KPI goals/metrics to measure and track continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving to address operational challenges.

  • Audit production departments to ensure they’re adhering to a standardized Operating Model and promote a culture of continuous improvement across departments/teams. 

Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

  • Lean/Six Sigma Green belt (Black Belt preferred).

  • 3-5 years of experience in both Scrum Master and process improvement roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Lean principles.

  • Proven track record in leading Kaizen events and Agile development teams.

  • Experience in facilitating cross-functional team collaboration.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and facilitation skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Expertise in Agile and lean tools 

  • Data-driven decision-making and analytical thinking.

  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Office and data analysis

  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution.

  • Project management and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on both product development and process optimization.
