Job Summary

We are seeking a cashier to join the team at our fast-casual barbecue restaurant. In this role, you will welcome guests, be able to answer questions about the menu and make recommendations. Your goal is to quickly build rapport with patrons and make them feel welcome. Cashiers are regularly tasked with small kitchen prep tasks to complete during slower hours (ex. cupping sauces). The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and personable.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a smile and have an outgoing personality.
Have a complete understanding of our menu.
Provide guests with menus and inform them of any available specials.
Accept payment for meals and operate the cash register
Additional duties such as food prep, order bagging (expo), and opening/closing.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a host/hostess, server, or busser is preferred
Friendly and outgoing personality
Excellent communication skills
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
Familiarity with food safety guidelines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
