Job Summary Conduct the effective recruitment of prospective students to the Purdue Polytechnic. The Polytechnic Institute Recruiter works within the assigned geographic area to raise awareness of the program, locate prospective students, generate interest, and enroll the quality and quantity of students necessary to ensure enrollment objectives and student goals are met through the Purdue Polytechnic degree programs or certifications. As the primary representative of Purdue Polytechnic to prospective students seeking to obtain a degree or credential, the recruiter must have specific knowledge of the degree programs and a superior general understanding of the target audiences for which the programs are designed. May give presentations to large audiences both on and off campus. Assist the Director in developing and modifying plans to recruit, enroll, and retain students for these programs. This recruiter position is for the Purdue Polytechnic is West Lafayette, but this position will assist in recruitment of the Statewide and Indianapolis sites. What We Are Looking For: Education and Experience: Bachelors' degree Three (3) years' experience in a same or similar role or closely related Skills Needed: Superior communication skills (spoken, written, group, individual) Motivation to increase enrollment with minimal supervision Advanced computer skills with working experience in word processing, spreadsheets, database usage, e-mail, Internet, etc. Ability to: relate well to working professionals work independently maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends Excellent organizational ability, as well as multi-tasking ability Ability to maneuver about the facilities in order to give tours to prospective students and families What is helpful: Background in college recruitment, sales, marketing, and/or public relations What We Would Like you To Know: Purdue University will not sponsor employment authorization for this position A background check will be required for employment in this position FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible for Overtime) Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contribution Waiting Period Purdue University is an EEO/AA employer fully committed to achieving a diverse workforce.
