Our client is a $x0M series B SaaS startup that is backed by prestigious VC firm and is looking for an accounting manager to join their team due to growth. This role is 100% remote; however, the candidate must be based in the west coast. Please ensure that you meet the location requirements and upload your resume to be considered. What youll be doing: Financial Reporting - Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Own month end close and GL management. Revenue Recognition - Manage SaaS revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606. Oversee billing, collections, and revenue forecasting. Account Reconciliation - Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank, general ledger, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Budgeting & Forecasting - Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide insights and recommendations for financial planning and strategy. Audit & Compliance - Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings. Maintain documentation and adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements. Team Leadership - Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development. Work directly with upper-level management, including oversight of financial performance to VC investors on a monthly basis. What youll need: Bachelors (or Masters) degree in Accounting CPA, Big 4 background 5 years minimum experience, with at least 1-2 years as a senior accountant for a Company within the SaaS industry Multilocation and/or multi-product pricing model will set you apart from the competition Experience with QB a plus, if you have implemented a larger EPR (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, etc.), even better Assisted with the scale of a business and have the ability to interact cross-functionally Prior IPO experience or exit from VC, Series B preferred Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP What is in it for you: Equity ownership, remote working environment, and a great company culture
