Position: Utility Project Executive

This company is a trusted full-service electrical contractor delivering solutions for Commercial, Utility-Power, Transportation, Low Voltage Systems, and Electrical Service clients throughout the Northeastern U.S.

Role Overview:

Lead and oversee the management of complex utility electrical construction projects from initial planning to successful completion, ensuring optimal profitability and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all aspects of project management, including design, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and prefabrication, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Enforce strict safety standards in collaboration with the Safety Department to uphold exceptional safety performance.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients by ensuring top-tier service and identifying opportunities for future projects.
  • Facilitate project handoff meetings with estimating and prefabrication teams to define strategies and establish objectives.
  • Consistently deliver projects on schedule and surpass client expectations.
  • Coordinate manpower allocation on a weekly and long-term basis in partnership with the Division VP and Operations Manager.
  • Oversee project BIM (Building Information Modeling) efforts with the Coordination Department.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Department for equipment purchases, stock orders, and vendor logistics.
  • Create and monitor cost-coded budgets derived from project estimates.
  • Work closely with field teams to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct project closeouts with the Division VP, analyzing lessons learned to enhance future performance.

Experience Required: 15+ years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience (15+ years) managing electrical projects, including substations, power plants, T&D systems, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards in the construction industry.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Team-oriented professional with proven ability to guide and motivate teams.
