Communications Associate

The Communications Associate will play a key role in this new chapter for JCPA, handling a number of important functions across the organization. This role will report to the Digital Director and work closely with the organizations senior leadership to create and implement traditional and digital communications content, including web posts, emails, online actions, social media, talking points, and more with the goal of furthering JCPAs advocacy, fundraising, and public engagement. This role will also play a central role in JCPA stakeholder engagement and cultivation, managing key elements of JCPAs Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and broader back-end systems. Primary responsibilities include: Support the Digital Director in developing and implementing a comprehensive digital communications strategy, including social media content, emails, web content, virtual programming, digital fundraising, and other collateral. This includes: Writing and implementing social media content, emails, and web content. Managing and regularly updating the JCPA website. Supporting virtual programming, such as webinars. Developing graphic and video content. Manage JCPAs Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, EveryAction, including: Managing stakeholder, donor, and other lists. Run reports and analyze supporter engagement. Oversee email implementation, including donor communications and more. Develop sample communications materials and other resources for Jewish Community Relations Councils, JCPA Action Networks, event partners, grasstops leaders, and other key partners and stakeholders. Skills and Qualifications Strong strategic communications and writing skills. Significant experience with and expertise in social media, website management, and CRM databases. Direct experience with EveryAction is a big plus. An organized self-starter who can collaborate, problem solve, and effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines. Passionate about the values and priorities at the core of JCPAs work, including democracy and pluralism. Compensation and Other Details JCPA is headquartered in New York City and would prefer candidates based there; however, we are also open to the right candidate in Washington, D.C. or in a remote capacity. The compensation range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000 dependent on experience, plus full benefits that include health, dental, and life insurance and a retirement plan.
