We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Position: Travel RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Schedule: Night (3x12 Hours) 19:00 7:00
Unit: Labor and Delivery
What You'll Do:
As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth labor process, monitor both mother and baby’s health, and provide education and emotional support to the family. This position requires critical thinking, clinical expertise, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergency situations.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to patients in labor and during childbirth.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, progress of labor, and overall well-being.
  • Assist physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals during labor, delivery, and recovery.
  • Administer medications, including epidurals and other pain management interventions.
  • Perform neonatal assessments and assist with immediate newborn care.
  • Educate mothers and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum care, and newborn care.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as fetal distress or delivery complications, in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe environment during deliveries.
  • Support families emotionally throughout the labor and postpartum experience.
Requirements:
  • RN license in State of Assignment or compact license
  • 2 years of experience as a traveler 3 years with no travel
  • Must live 100 miles from Facility
  • Covid Vaccine
  • Flu Vaccine
