Interwest's sister company, North Hill Resources, is looking for an experienced Office Manager with a strong accounting background to join their team.

Under a direct supervision of the General Manager, the Office Manager at North Hill Resources is responsible for providing financial and administrative support to accounting staff and management. This position supports efficient and accurate clerical and administrative operations as well as running/backing up retail sales and scale. This is 'on site position'.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Step in when the General Manager is out of office
  • Support Business Development of North Hill
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable.
  • Monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Balance and input Daily Cash/Sales and Credit Card transactions into accounting software.
  • Input jobs/customer info into accounting software.
  • Oversee customer accounts/credit limits and balances.
  • Send out statements and contact customers with all past due billings.
  • Prepare billings for NHR material.
  • Responsible for processing of Biweekly Payroll and completing quarterly Payroll tax reports.
  • Completing monthly Excise Tax Returns.
  • Conduct monthly reporting to the Owner of the company.
  • Oversee daily truck dispatch and deliveries to ensure customer deliveries are on time.
  • Oversee/maintain NHR's customer relations/accounts and maintain product knowledge necessary to answer customer questions.
  • Manage retail sales/office and a full-time scale attendant.
  • Back up scale/retail sales/phones.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Abilities
  • BA degree in accounting, finance or related field or five years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting concepts such as accounts payable and receivable required.
  • Two years of experience with retail/customer service environment.
  • Critical thinker, multi-tasker and independent decision maker with strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Scale house experience preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Compensation: $60,000 - $85, 000/year DOE
