Controls Engineer Opportunity

Job Description:

This company is a global leader in providing control and power systems across various industries including mining, mill, oil and gas, power generation and utilities, and marine. They are looking for an intermediate level Controls Systems Engineer who excels in specifying, designing, developing, programming, and commissioning complete solutions composed of PLC, drive, and HMI/SCADA systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust ability to enhance application understanding and perform advanced programming of complex control systems. Additional responsibilities are listed below:

Job Responsibilities:

- Specifying, designing, developing, programming, and commissioning complete solutions composed of PLC, drive, and HMI/SCADA systems

- Research techniques for development, improvement and management of the control systems

- Support occasional on-call requests from aftermarket engineering field service and customers

- Define and create control system specifications

- Develop, integrate, and test all related hardware equipment and software for these solutions

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

+ 5+ years of controls engineering experience

+ Proficient in PLC control systems, including Allen Bradley Studio5000 and Siemens TIA Portal

+ Experience in project management with control system-based products
