The National Accounts Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join our Los Angeles office.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Manage the Western Region Territory for Umbrella and Excess Casualty businessAnalyze risk data of proposed insureds to identify hazards and exposures for new and renewal businessImplement underwriting rationale through exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing of individual risksAdhering to underwriting rules and guidelinesDeveloping and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and to maintain renewal business via quality serviceCollaborating with other product lines to provide full product support to the clientQualifications, Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree or above and/or insurance certificationsA minimum of 6-8 years of experience in underwriting excess casualty businessKnowledge, Skills & Competencies: Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new businessStrong relationship management and negotiation skillsExcellent analytical, communication, and computer skillsAbility to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environmentCustomer-oriented approach#LI-HYBRID#LI-RS1For CA only: The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $205,000 annually.
