About the job Electrical Engineer Experience Level: Mid Level (5-8 years of experience)Experience Required: Minimum of 5 yearsEducation Level: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering TechnologySalary: $91,000 - $120,000 + BenefitsType: FulltimeJob Overview:As an Electrical Engineer in our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and developing electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical sub-systems and components for premium-quality laundry products and services. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary Sustaining Engineering team, you will closely align with an internal customer group.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and test electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical sub-systems and components to meet project needs.Write detailed design specifications and develop test plans for evaluating electrical components and sub-systems, including motors, transformers, contactors, drives, relays, switches, heaters, and sensors.Develop drawings for electrical components and systems, including schematics and wiring diagrams using tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, and PADS.Set up and describe test specifications for electrical and electronic controls.Collaborate with suppliers and in-house colleagues on the development of sub-systems and components.Understand and design sub-systems and components to meet marketing specifications and regulatory standards, considering the full system design.Provide support to production as needed, working on Quality Improvements (QI) and Continuous Improvements (CI), and participating in problem-solving activities.Specify new components for designs, develop, design, and implement them into production.Specify new microcontrollers for new designs and develop necessary tools around these devices.Education and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.5 to 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Motor drive experience is preferred.Skills and Abilities:Apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Solid knowledge of engineering design software and equipment.Experience with software programs in assembly, C, or higher level for microcontroller-based electronic controls.Ability to write technical reports and complete documentation within required timeframes.Demonstrate the ability to function calmly in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.Detail-oriented while still connected to larger project goals/outcomes.Outstanding communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.Self-motivated with a willingness to be hands-on and dig into challenges.
