Job Title: Carpenter Tech
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Carpenter Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the custom fabrication of exhibit components utilizing wood, plastic, laminates, and metal. If you have experience as a finish carpenter, custom cabinet builder, or set builder, you will excel in this role. You will fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop Manager, assist with exhibit development, and lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication process.
Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity to work on a contract project while gaining experience with various materials. You will have the chance to work in a collaborative environment, developing your skills and contributing to exciting projects.
Work Environment
You will be working in a shop environment, performing various construction tasks with a team of 5-10 onsite. Expected hours are Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Custom fabrication of exhibit components using wood, plastic, laminates, and metal.
- Fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop Manager.
- Assist with exhibit development and lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication process.
- Construct carts and crates to ensure the safe transportation of exhibitions.
- Adapt to changing priorities as they dynamically shift.
- Handle heights as necessary; ladder work is common.
- Carry heavy equipment manually or using necessary equipment as applicable.
- 2+ years of experience in fabrication using wood, plastic, and metal, or related work, including hobbyist experience.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
- Must have own basic carpentry tools.
- Experience with various finished work such as laminate, melamine, and moldings.
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Adherence to quality building standards and specifications.
- Basic knowledge of math and measurements.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including the use of a tape measure.
- Creative and adaptable to move between different job departments.
- Deadline-driven and collaborative.
- Willingness to work overtime as requested through the holidays.
