At our location in Sterling Heights, you can work products that are in the development phase, build and fabricate transportation and mobility solutions, or support our Aerospace Team by producing parts that will end up in outer space.

If you can...

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts.
• Shape metal material over anvils, blocks, or other forms, using hand tools.
• Cut, shape, and form metal parts, using lathes, power saws, snips, power brakes and shears, files, and mallets.
• Connect pieces or secure seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws.
• Drill, countersink, and ream holes in parts and assemblies for bolts, screws, and other fasteners, using power tools.
• Set up and operate machines, such as lathes, drill presses, punch presses, or bandsaws, to fabricate prototypes or models.
• Rework or alter component model or parts as required to ensure that products meet standards.
• Grind, file, and sand parts to finished dimensions.
• Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, or rulers.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools.
