You will install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components in residential homes and smaller commercial establishments.
In this role, you will effectively serve as the public face of our company as you make service visits. Therefore, in addition to your technical expertise, you will also make use of your customer service talents. Responsibilities:
As a Plumber, you must have technical knowledge and experience. Since you will be the main point of contact between the company and our customers, you will also maintain a professional and friendly image and serve as an advocate for the company and our brand.
Specific duties include:
- Install, repair and maintain:
- plumbing systems and components
- water treatment equipment, piping and controls
- underground storm sanitary and water piping systems
- water heaters and conditioners
- plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim
- Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials
- Identify required tools and special equipment
- Select the type and size of pipe required
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
- Assemble and install valves and fittings
- Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
As a Plumber, you will combine technical expertise with a personable, approachable, and helpful personality. You must also be highly detail-oriented and focused with a flexible and adaptable nature. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as a commitment to providing the best and most responsive customer service.
Special qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have 5+ years' experience as a Plumber; Master Plumber preferred
- Must be able to safely maintain a high level of performance while working independently in the field
- Ability to account for increasing and decreasing repair part inventory on service vans
- Strong communication skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's motor vehicle policy
