Summary:

We are seeking a team member to lead our Personal Lines Insurance team. The Manager will guide and monitor the quoting efforts of client advisors, support key Personal accounts, and liaise with carrier partners. This role requires leadership, a deep understanding of personal lines insurance coverages, and the ability to optimize the team's performance in delivering high-quality service to clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Direct the flow of new business submissions
  • Support account retention and identify opportunities to cross-sell
  • Oversee the training of new employees, including carrier portals, workflows, proposals, etc.; and provide mentorship to the team members
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development
  • Manage carrier and wholesale partner relationships
  • Stay up to date on carrier appetites, coverage changes and market conditions
  • Ensure agency standards and procedures are followed and the highest standards of customer service are delivered
  • Lead weekly department meeting and share department updates during quarterly agency meetings
  • Support client advisors through carrier or client issues
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Professional attitude and customer service focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate
  • Proficient use of Applied Epic, insurance carrier systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other technology platforms
Education, Training and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • P&C license required
  • Insurance certifications (e.g., CPCU, CIC) a plus
  • Minimum of 6 years experience as an insurance representative; prior management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of underwriting practices, claims handling, and personal lines products


Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company's performance.
