Maintenance Electrician

A global product leader in powertrain solutions is searching for successful candidates to perform electrical work including installing, upgrading, maintaining, inspecting and troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding electrical equipment and facilities. Qualified candidates will be working from schematics, verbal direction and/or written orders. Electricians will be able to layout, install, troubleshoot and/or repair electrical or electronic circuits, machines and devices in factory facilities. Knowledge of relay logic, analog and digital circuitry as well as programmable controller language is needed. Accurate setup, operation and reading of a variety of diagnostic instruments is required. Specific skills training with application of the principles of electricity, electronics and electronic logic. They must possess understanding of circuits, their component parts and how they work together including electronic circuits, digital and analog transmission concepts. Electricians will perform diagnostic and repair activities on sophisticated electromechanical system and require the ability to prepare and/or interpret highly sophisticated technical graphic representation. Layout, install in accordance with NEC and NFPA codes and repair complicated machinery control systems and circuits furnishing power and light throughout the complex. Repair electric rotors, generators, transformers and accessory equipment such as starting devices, switches, relays. Bend, cut, and hang conduit. Install panel boards, switch gear and junctions. Cutting into high voltage lines. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Journeyman Electrician (NY State Certified Program) Preferred or 2 years Industrial Maintenance Experience or 2 year trade school program completion Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) preferred Machine/Electronic Troubleshooting Expertise in Wiring Solid Understanding of High Voltage Applications Must be willing to work on an off shift (2nd, 3rd, Weekend)
