Ozzy's Golden Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Concrete Carpenter to manage and execute concrete projects including flat work, demo, rebar installation, formwork, and concrete finishing/shell work. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality as you lead a crew and ensure that all concrete work is performed to the highest standards. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on custom home and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Concrete Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of concrete work for residential and commercial projects, including flat work, rebar, formwork, and concrete finishing.
  • Crew Management: Oversee and direct a team of concrete workers, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet project specifications.
  • Formwork & Rebar Installation: Ensure the accurate construction of formwork and proper placement of rebar, contributing to structurally sound and precise concrete structures.
  • Concrete Finishing & Shell Work: Perform and supervise concrete finishing tasks to ensure a high-quality, smooth finish, with attention to detail in shell work.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other trades to ensure seamless coordination and timely project delivery.
  • Material Management: Oversee the selection and efficient use of materials, ensuring quality and cost control on all tasks.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring that all work is performed in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Problem-Solving: Address on-site issues related to concrete work, providing solutions to maintain quality and project momentum.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete work, including flat work, rebar installation, formwork, and concrete finishing.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a concrete crew and multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Expertise in concrete finishing and shell work, with a strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, team members, and other trades.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
