Our client, a reputable MEP design engineering firm, specializes in delivering comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services to diverse industries. They are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team.

This role is integral in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The Electrical Engineer will work both independently and collaboratively, engaging with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to create high-quality electrical solutions that meet rigorous specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and modify one-line drawings, panel schedules, schematics, and wiring termination drawings
  • Conduct field walkdowns of client sites, equipment, and panels
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical equipment failures
  • Ensure safe electrical work practices and compliance with safety standards
  • Gather data for arc-flash analysis and input data into Arc-Flash software to complete full studies
  • Coordinate effectively with utility companies to meet project needs
  • Size conduits, cables for power distribution, data systems, and telecommunications
  • Collaborate with clients, managers, contractors, and other team members productively
  • Review contractor and vendor shop drawings and submittals
  • Develop contractor scope of work and bid documents
Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of electrical engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in Low-Voltage Power Distribution design and Arc-Flash Analysis
  • Proficient in national electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, NFPA 110)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in Washington
  • 4+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Familiarity with local codes and standards (WSEC, WAC)
  • Experience with SKM or ETAP software
  • Background in the pharmaceutical or biological sciences industry
  • Experience managing contract resources and working with outside suppliers
