The Structural Engineer, E.I., will serve as an Engineer in Training under the supervision of licensed professional engineers. You will be trained and developed in structural design/analysis, 3D modeling, drafting/design focusing in structural-discipline tasks on industrial projects featuring steel, concrete, masonry, and light gauge metal construction and much more. How you Will Make a Positive Impact:

  • Modeling and analysis of structures and foundations using RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, RISA Connection, Hilti Profis
  • New construction and retro fit applications
  • Develop familiarity with IBC, ASCE-7, AISC 360, ACI 318 etc.
  • Develop design drawings with help of drafting/design staff in Autodesk Revit, and Auto CAD
  • Focused on developing Design and Drafting/Modeling software skills.
  • Assist in preparation of specifications for civil/structural trades for projects
  • Coordinate with owner and contractor through construction
  • Shop drawing review and approval
  • RFI's
  • Inspections and site visits.
  • Design of equipment support structures for process equipment.
  • Design of foundations for pre-engineered metal buildings, large equipment, radial cranes, sub-steel structures.
  • Design of masonry and light framed construction office buildings and MCC rooms.
The value you bring:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET accredited university.
  • NCEES Engineer Intern (E.I.) certificate
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, RISA or similar structural design software
  • Ability to develop knowledge of processes and equipment
  • Acquainted with all conventional shallow and deep foundation
  • Familiarity with structural drawings and drawing practices
  • Ability to handle multiple complex concurrent tasks in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer competency
  • Available for intermittent overnight travel
