Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team and contribute to creating new products using Servo motors and safety proc sensors. This role involves PLC code development, modification, troubleshooting, and repair for PLCs and HMIs. Additionally, the position includes electrical schematic design, updates, revisions, and some new design work for industrial applications. You will also assist in streamlining production processes.ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on controls troubleshooting of PLCs and equipment in the shop, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Collaborate with engineering, sales, and procurement departments to ensure controls projects are completed on time and within budget.Assist in building complex automated systems for customers.Monitor system effectiveness and provide troubleshooting support on new machine builds.Repair machinery on-site as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLCs, and HMIs.Expertise in controls engineering and PLC programming.Strong electrical design skills.Experience with control systems and automation.Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in an engineering-related discipline required.5-10+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.5-10+ years of experience wiring PLCs from scratch, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs preferred.Candidates with 5-10 years of relevant experience who have demonstrated initiative in projects from start to finish will be considered.Experience with custom projects and project management required.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is shared with Hawk Technology in an industrial park, which is fairly clean and quiet.
