JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a creative and skilled Digital Marketing Videographer / Video Editor to produce dynamic, faith-centered video content for Lakewood Church and associated brands, including M3, Lakewood Music, Marriage Ministry, and Joel Osteen Ministries. You will play a key role in developing short-form video content that engages our digital audience, showcasing the energy and mission of our community. This role will also require versatility in both filming and editing across various digital platforms.

This position reports to the Senior Digital Marketing Producer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Content Creation: Produce a range of video content including promotional pieces, weekend invites, recap videos, sermon clips, and announcements tailored for social media platforms
  • Platform-Specific Editing: Capture and edit content designed for Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and YouTube optimizing each video for platform-specific engagement
  • Editing: Stay current with the latest editing technology and techniques to enhance efficiency and improve social engagement strategies
  • Footage: Oversee the organization and management of video files, ensuring smooth workflows and easy access to footage from various events and services
  • Live Event Filming: Capture high-quality content during Lakewood Church services and conferences ensuring all key moments are documented
  • Post-Production: Execute post-production tasks including audio adjustments, cutting excess footage, and adding transitions and effects for a seamless viewing experience
  • Other related duties as assigned
MINISTERIAL DUTIES

You are responsible for communicating the Church's beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community.

This will also include:
  • Regular attendance at Church services and classes
  • Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
  • Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church's vision, mission, values, and core beliefs
  • Demonstrated ability to capture high-quality content and deliver polished video edits within the same day, maintaining exceptional standards even under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to efficiently set up and execute high-quality shots with minimal notice, including directing talent and ensuring a seamless shooting process.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects for high-quality video editing
  • Experience in filming live events such as church gatherings, live music performances, and conferences with an ability to capture the energy of these moments
  • Strong experience with mirrorless camera systems (e.g., Sony, Blackmagic, Canon, Panasonic, Fuji)
  • Proven ability to create social media content specifically for Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, delivering real-time video content optimized for social media
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and receive constructive feedback
  • Strong commitment to Lakewood Church's mission, vision, and core values
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree in Fine Arts or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience delivering video content for social media channels
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with video editing software, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve
