Job Description:

BW Papersystems is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who will perform electrical design, technical analysis and/or resolution of engineering problems with consideration of manufacturing feasibility, cost, and operation. Working within this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with different assembly and manufacturing teams.

Essential Functions:
  • Design/alteration of moderately complex electrical equipment
  • Test and debug equipment to isolate defects
  • Prepare layouts using CAD tools
  • Evaluate moderately complex designs; make engineering changes
  • Evaluate new parts
  • Prepare schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings and bills of material (BOM) for moderately complex equipment
  • Manage and maintain project file
  • Travel to customer site to support field teams with technical assistance as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
  • Read and interpret moderately complex electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts
  • Working knowledge of CAD and engineering systems
  • Strong logical and reasoning abilities
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing methods; electrical design and project management
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and through written documentation
  • Ability to work in customer's facility and manage that relationship
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or 2-year certification in Electrical Design, accompanied by a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related electrical engineering role. AND / OR
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 2+ years of experience working in a related Electrical Engineering role.
