Primary responsibilities will be with the Air Mobility & Maritime Mission (AMMM) Airworthiness Team. Support business needs and enable innovation and increased efficiencies within the Engineering & Technology organization.
Responsibilities can include management of
Airworthiness artifacts and data requirements to
support Airworthiness cycles, technical planning,
and preparing the following data artifacts:
- Certification Basis,
- Compliance Reports,
- Configuration Verification Reports,
- Certificate of Design during a life-cycle of a
project
Coordinate and lead internal and external customer discussions to achieve agreements on a project's certification approach. Host Certification Working Groups, Airworthiness Technical Interchange Meetings, and Airworthiness Risks Review Boards.
Actively Work with the AMMM Deputy Chief Engineer's, Chief Engineer, and Director of Engineering & Technology on a daily basis to manage the customer's airworthiness demands.
Make recommendations to the AMMM Chief Engineer or Nation's Airworthiness Authority that an aircraft is ready to fly.
Travel abroad for in person Airworthiness meetings with a Nation's Airworthiness Authority.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in:
Aerospace Engineering, or
Systems Engineering, or
Electrical Engineering, or
Mechanical Engineering, or
Software Engineering.
Desired Skills:
Experience with MIL-HDBK-516.
Experience multi-tasking in a dynamic work environment.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Familiarity with System Safety Principles.
Familiarity with the FAA Safety Management System
Familiarity with Mean Time Between Failure and Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals from reliability databases
Experience working with cross functional teams and frequent status reporting to management.
Strong organization and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
