**Caterpillars Electrification + Energy Solutions Division** is focused on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products and technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. As the **Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain** , you will be a member of the senior leadership team and will report directly to the Senior Vice President of the division. In this role you will:

+ Drive a high performing safety culture.

+ Provide overall leadership and direction to the areas and facilities required for the manufacturing of products and components.

+ Inspire, motivate, and develop the operations and supply chain management team.

+ Strengthen enterprise relationships through effective communications to accomplish joint initiatives across divisions and departments.

+ Lead the manufacturing and supply chain design for current, preproduction, and future energy solutions.

+ Develop a roadmap for the operational footprint for current, preproduction, and future energy solutions.

+ Develop and evolve the supply chain strategy to mitigate market risks and ensure business continuity.

+ Align and deliver an annual operational budget to satisfy demand and meet profitability goals.

+ Align capital plan with capacity requirements and profitability goals.

+ Deliver overall operations performance with production, cost, and quality control mechanisms.

+ Oversee operations activities, ensuring that schedules are met and system resources are used effectively.

**Degree Requirement**

Degree or equivalent experience desired

**Skills you have:**

+ **Manufacturing Operations** : Expert-level experience in both prototype and high-volume manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products. A manufacturing mindset from an operations background. Fulfillment primarily comes from making something.

+ **Manufacturing Safety** : Extensive experience in manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

+ **Lean Manufacturing** : Extensive experience in lean manufacturing philosophy, principles and implementation approaches; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

+ **Production Demand** : Extensive experience in determining production demand; ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.

+ Strong leadership, emotional intelligence and communication skills.

+ Demonstrated success building, developing and leading inclusive and collaborative teams.

+ Diverse experience in a global or otherwise complex large organization. Proven ability to collaborate across the enterprise to solve complex problems and gain alignment.

+ Experience on the frontier of battery technology and battery value add processes and/or power electronic technology and value add knowledge. Energized by systematically adapting to evolving technology.

+ Experience with thermal loads

**Additional Information**

+ The location for this position is at the Caterpillar global headquarters in Dallas/Irving, Texas.

+ Domestic relocation is offered.

+ This position may require 50% travel.
